The Bermuda Optimist National and Open Championships continue off the East End Mini Yacht Club in the St. George’s Harbor.
Leading the pack after eight races for the Bermuda Nationals, and fresh off a 2nd place finish at the Jr. Gold Cup is Adam Larson with 33 Net Points.
Right on his heels is Campbell Patton who has 35 Net Points and Tayte Stefaniuk who just returned from an impressive 34th overall at the World Championships last month is in 3rd with 37 Net Points.
Running concurrently to the Bermuda National Championship is the Bermuda Open Championship, which has 16 sailors from overseas entered including last year’s overall champion, Jack Corbett from New Jersey.
Carmen Cowles from Larchmont Yacht Club leads with 19 Net Points, with Larson in second place with 31 Net points followed by Emma Cowles with 33 points from Larchmont Yacht Club sailing here for the first time.
