Ryan Astwood and his Boston University Sailing teammates finished 3rd during the Staake Trophy hosted by Bowdoin College.
Bowdoin won the event with a record of 20-3 followed by MIT with a record of 15-8 and both teams earned a spot at Team Race New England’s.
Boston University finished with a 12 – 11 record after four Rounds of racing.
In the First Round Boston defeated Northeastern, Salve Regina and Rhode Island, while losing to Bowdoin and MIT.
In Round Two Boston University defeated Northeastern and Salve Regina, but went down to Rhode Island, Bowdoin and MIT.
After the Third Round the Boston University held a 8 – 7 record this after they defeated MIT, Northeastern and Salve Regina, but they fell to Rhode Island and Bowdoin.
Round Four saw the Boston University defeat Northeastern and Salve Regina, but they went down to Rhode Island, Bowdoin and MIT.
In the Final Round Boston University defeated Rhode Island and Bowdoin, but went down to MIT.
