Another warm and sunny day greeted the sailors taking part in the Quantum Key West 2014. A more stable day with North-North-West winds around 20 knots allowed sailing to get underway on time.
As the day progressed the breeze gradually eased making it a great day on the water.
Bermuda is being represented by Alec Cutler sailing Hedgehog and Chuck Millican in Elusive.
After six races in the Melges 32 Class, Cutler continues to lead the Fleet with 11 points, Cutler finished the first race of the day and the fourth of the Regatta in second place, he recorded another second place finish before closing out the day with a win. Cutler holds a three point lead over Dalton DeVos from the United States sailing Delta.
Millican moved up three places from his starting position of 39th and now sits in 36th with 172 points in the J 70 Class, Millican and his crew sailed three races on day two, recording his best of the regatta thus far when he finished 26th in the first race of the day. He then finished 36th in the second race before ending the day finishing in 34th place.
