Haley Powell and Sean Bouchard helped their Roger Williams University Sailing teammates finish second and fourth in different Regatta’s.
At the Duplin Trophy Regatta, the Powell and Roger Williams participated in three round-robin races en route to a second place finish. Roger Williams went 8-5 overall, taking second place via tiebreaker with Yale University on total points earned during the two races they met in. Roger Williams fell one win behind first place Boston College.
Also racing for Roger Williams were, Annie Schmidt, Rachel Perry, Samantha Pilz, Adrienne White, and Abby Preston.
During the Aaron Szambecki Team Race at Old Dominion University, Bouchard and Roger Williams participated in two round-robin races, earning a first-place finish in Round 1 and a fourth-place in round 2. During the first round, Roger Williams defeated Georgetown, College of Charleston, Stanford, Hobart, Old Dominion, and Navy. During the second round, Roger Williams was only able to edge Georgetown and St. Mary's for victories. Since no final-four race was raced due to time constraints, final scores were a combined tally of the two rounds. Roger Williams finished 8-6, earning 4th place.
Also racing for Roger Williams were Alec Anderson, Tyler McDonald, Kelly Stannard, and Tyler Wilson. Samantha Bobo participated in race 1 through 10, while Jake Bartlein was on crew for races 11 through 14.
