A total of 19 Boats went to the Start Line Five times during the Bermuda Optimist Dinghy Associationís South American Trials.
The sailors going in knew that the top 5 that had to express their desire to go to the South American's by a certain date would qualify to go to the IODA South American's this March in Argentina.
Rory Caslin qualified as the top seed as he finished the regatta with 7 Net Points, Caslin finished second four times and first once, he threw out one of his second place finishes.
Chase Cooper finished first twice, second once and fifth twice to finish 2nd overall with 9 Net Points, also finishing with 9 Points was Mikey Wollmann, Wollmann had two first place finishes, one second place finish and two fourth place finish.
Ceci Wollmann finished fourth with 16 points, Wollmann recorded one third place finish, two fourth place finishes, one fifth place finish and one eighth place finish. Although Benn Smith finished 7th he was the next sailor to express their desire to go to the South American's, Smith had one sixth place finish, to go along with three seventh place finishes and one eighth place finish for 27 Net Points, Campbell Patton and Matilda Nicholls finished 5th and 6th.
