The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club hosted the Bermuda 420 National Championship in the Great Sound.
After 7 races Dimitri Stevens with Charlie Dutranoit were crowned the 2011 Bermuda 420 National Champions.
The Winds were 12-18 knots with gusts in the 20s as Stevens and Dutranoit dominated the regatta with 5 first place finishes.
In a tie breaker Ellie Wollmann and Rory Caslin finished 2nd place with Owen Siese and Sarah Hopkins in 3rd.
In the fourth race Tre Joinville and Jessie Pickering lost their mast in a high gust, this ended their day of sailing. In race 3 Wollmann and Caslin almost sunk and needed to withdraw making for some exciting racing.
