Connecticut College junior Peter Miller from Bermuda has commented on the news that the school’s head coed and women's sailing coach Jeff Bresnahan has been honored as the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Associations' (NEISA) Sailing Coach of the Year.
The Connecticut College sailing program has enjoyed its finest season in recent history. For the first time since 1993, both the women's and coed teams have qualified for the ICSA National Championship in the same season.
Miller, has enjoyed his sailing experience as a student-athlete under Bresnahan and commends his coach for receiving this accolade.
"I'd say that the award is a testament to the fantastic season that the women's and coed teams have had so far," Miller said. "Bresnahan's leadership, player management and coaching have been excellent. We're excited that the other teams in NEISA have recognized his herculean efforts."
