Sailors Continue to Shine in Miami

Day Two of the 2010 Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta, hosted by Coral Reef Yacht Club and co-hosted by Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, in Miami, was sailed in very light winds.

Ellie Wollmann after six races in the 210 boat Optimist Fleet fell from 7th to 25th overall and is now in 5th place in the Girl’s Division, Wollmann finished the first race of the day in 50th place, 14th in the second race and 60th in the third race.

Meanwhile Mikey Wollmann ended Day Two in the Optimist Fleet 109th. Wollmann had finishes of 67th, 47th and 38th in the day’s three races.

Jordan Saints leads the Bermuda Fleet in the 129 boat Laser Radial Division and is only two points out of third place jumping from 18th to 4th overall. Saints finished the first race in 3rd, before finishing the second and final race of the day in 4th.

Owen Siese moved up four places from 20th to 16th with finishes of 26th and 15th, while Jason Saints had finishes of 70th and 8th to fall from 18th to 31st overall.

Mackenzie Cooper jumped 34 places and is currently 59th after he finished 12th in the first race and 20th in the second, while James Anfossi finished the day 97th, he finished 72nd in the first race and 13th in the second race and with finishes of 63rd and 66th Sarah Hopkin ended the day 127th.
