Lambe Scores Twice in Carlisle United Draw

IslandStats.com
A Paris Cowan-Hall goal three minutes into injury time enabled Wycombe to extend their unbeaten run to six games with a 3-3 draw against Reggie Lambe and his Carlisle United teammates.

Lambe and a Jamie Devitt penalty had put the home side ahead before Sam Saunders and Adebayo Akinfenwa drew the visitors level, only for Lambe to hit the target again late on with his sixth goal of the season.

But just when Carlisle looked to be on course for their second home win of the season, Wanderers substitute Cowan-Hall stepped up to equalize with a header from a corner.

Carlisle, looking for a first home win in two months, started purposefully and took a fourth-minute lead when Nicky Adams' corner from the left picked out Lambe unmarked at the far post and he directed a downwards header past Scott Brown in the Wycombe goal.

Carlisle went 2-0 ahead from a 37th-minute penalty given after Daniel Scarr's tackle on Shaun Miller. There were prolonged protests by the Chairboys and a booking for Saunders before Devitt stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

Saunders pulled a goal back for Wycombe in first-half injury time, cleverly curling a free-kick into the top-left corner from 20 yards following a foul on Eberechi Eze.

More was seen of Wycombe in attack after the break and Akinfenwa leveled in the 72nd minute, using his strength at the far post to head home Nick Freeman's cross from the right.

Lambe scored his second in the 85th minute, peeling away to the left of goal and placing a low shot past Brown from Mike Jones's pass, before Cowan-Hall's late intervention.
