Seven minutes into the match and Wells watched his shot from an angle go just wide, eleven minutes in and Harvey’s shot from just inside the box is deflected over the crossbar for a corner. Sixteen minutes down and Beans curling shot went inches wide. In the first 20 minutes Bermuda have dominated but have nothing to show for it, as Harvey watches a header go wide from a Lewis cross.
Twenty four minutes down and the Bahamas goalkeeper Whylly had to make his first save, Wells’ left footed shot was saved from close range. In the 33rd minute Bermuda were forced to make a sub as Donawa was injured challenging for the ball, he was replaced by Jonte Smith. Wells was brought down some five yards outside the box and Bean’s right footed shot went just over the bar. On the stroke of half time Wells was brought down in the box by Christopher Larson, Wells stepped up blasted his shot against the crossbar.
At the half Bermuda made a change bringing on Dale Eve in place of goalkeeper Hall, while Bahamas replaced Winder with Richard Munroe, in the 46th minute Wood from Bahamas received a caution for a foul on Lewis.
In the 60th minute Eve was force to tip a header from the lively Munroe over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Bahamas made their second change bringing Christopher Godet in with Wood going off.
In the 65th minute Smith had the ball in the net but he was ruled off side, one minute late Lewis had a shot go just wide as Bermuda step up the pace. In the 77th minute Wells was but through again but his shot was well saved by Whylly who done well to also block the rebound. In the 79th minute Wells finally gave Bermuda a deserved lead when he scored from just inside the box, three minutes later it was 2 – 0 when Burgess scored from close range.
A good move down the right side saw Smith cross for Wells to tap in a simple chance.
