Inside Caribbean Football has listed what they consider the Best Woman Player of each Caribbean Country including Bermuda.
The website has announced the Caribbean has plenty of good players with Kenni Thompson named as Bermuda’s top Woman player.
Thompson now plays for the London City Lionesses.
The Bermuda-born 21-year-old joined from Spanish Women’s First Division side, CD Santa Teresa. Thompson spent most of her professional playing career in Spain showcasing her talent in the competitive First and Second Divisions. At the age of 16, she became a Spanish Champion.
Her former clubs include Deportivo de La Coruña and Espanyol. Prior to moving to Spain, Thompson was a part of the Chelsea F.C. Under 15 set up.
London City Lionesses Head Coach Melissa Philips shared her thoughts on Thompson saying, “Kenni is a bright young player with tremendous technical ability and understanding of the game. She has been able to come into the environment and integrate seamlessly while looking to challenge herself physically and mentally and at this stage in her career. We have goals that strongly align and look forward to challenging Kenni to get the best out of her in the year ahead.”
