It was yet another Dudley Eve double-header, this time at the BAA Field, with 9 goals scored in two different Group matches.
Group C
Devonshire Cougars 2 St George’s Colts 3
The St George’s Colts came from behind to edge Devonshire Cougars in their opening Dudley Eve Trophy Group match, with all five goals coming in the first half.
Kamali Davis converted from the penalty spot in the 8th minute to give the Devonshire Cougars the lead, but the St George’s Colts would equalize with a goal from Kashe Hall in the 20th minute.
In the 31st minute Machi Battersbee put the Devonshire Cougars back in front, only to have Jahron Dickinson equalize once again for the St. George’s Colts five minutes later.
On the stroke of half-time Tah-Ki Tucker gave the St. George’s Colts the lead that they took to the break.
The second half would not produce a goal as Tucker’s goal proved to be the winner.
Paget Lions 3 Young Men Social Club 1
In the nightcap, in heavy rain at times, the Paget Lions defeated Young Men Social Club.
Young Men’s Social Club got two goals from Shakir Smith, while Delray Rawlins scored the other goal. Giniko Butterfield would score the lone goal for Young Men Social Club.
