BFA Premier & First Division Round-Up & Bascome's Blast Win

Hamilton Parish 3 Dandy Town Hornets 1


Hamilton Parish picked up a 3 – 1 win over the Dandy Town Hornets at the Wellington Oval in a match that they deserved to win.

Aaron Nelson gave Hamilton parish the lead in the 27th minute when he scored from close range, Angelo Simmons equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets in the 31st minute when he would score from a cross, the teams went to the break with the score 1 – 1.

Macquille Walker gave Hamilton Parish a 2 – 1 lead when he found the back of the net in the 77th minute, and then Che Lindo scored a third for Hamilton Parish in the 88th minute.

FIRST DIVISION

BAA 1 Devonshire Colts 0


One goal separated BAA and Devonshire Colts in their First Division encounter at the BAA Field.

The lone goal of the game came in the 14th minute when Riley Robinson found the back of the net for BAA to win 1 – 0.

David Bascome

David Bascome’s Baltimore Blast won their season opener at home edging Utica 8 – 7, at the Towson Arena.

Bascome and the Blast found themselves down 3 – 0 in the First Period, but Tony Donatelli pulled a goal back for the Blast to make it 3 – 1, however, Utica would add another goal to restore their three-goal lead. The Baltimore Blast had other thoughts as Jonatas Melo and Lucas Roque scored to have the Period end 4 – 3 with Utica leading.

The Baltimore Blast outscored Utica 2 – 1 in the Second Period to have the teams go to the break level at 5 – 5. Roque and Donatelli both scored a goal in the Period.

Donatelli scored the lone goal of the Third Period to complete his hat-trick and give the Baltimore Blast a 6 – 5 lead going into the Final Period.

In the Fourth Period, Roque completed his hat-trick with a goal to make it 7 – 5, after Utica pulled a goal back to make it 7 – 6, Melo gave the Baltimore Blast an 8 – 6 lead, Utica was able to pull a goal back to pull within one, but the Blast was able to shut the door and take home the win on the season opener.
