Mixed Day for Bermuda Players in the UK

Milan Butterfield and his Chesterfield teammates went down 2 – 1 to Hartlepool in their Conference League match.

It was goalless here at the break, with Chesterfield having had the better of the chances, but no one managed to break the deadlock.

Things strung into life in the 54th minute Tom Denton converted from the penalty spot for Chesterfield to take the lead, but an own goal in the 64th minute brought the teams level, in the 70th minute Hartlepool took the lead, a cross from the left was turned home by Ryan Johnson at the near post, things got harder for Chesterfield in the 78th minute when a straight red card was shown to Scott Boden, who went in for a 50/50 tackle with the Hartlepool goalkeeper and was sent off for serious foul play.

KOLE HALL

Kole Hall and his Radcliffe Football Club teammates defeated South Shields FC 3 – 1 in their Northern Premier League Division match-up.

Hall’s teammate Jean Louis Akpa-Akpro’s opening minute strike was ruled out by Alex Kempster’s effort midway through the half, as the teams went to the break even in a very competitive game.

Hall would give Radcliffe the lead in the 59th minute, Jack Shiels played a brilliant ball over the top and Hall beat the advancing goalkeeper to restore the lead, scoring his second goal in as many games.

In the 83rd minute Radcliffe got a third, Andy Owens caused a problem in the box and squared the ball to Jean Louis Akpa-Akpro who slotted into the corner.

DALE EVE

Dale Eve and his Spennymoor Town teammates defeated Farsley Celtic 2 – 1 in their Vanarama National League North match.

It was a lively first half affair with Rob Ramshaw's driven strike putting Spennymoor Town ahead after 20 minutes, with Farsley goalkeeper Steven Drench seeing red in the 40th minute after handling outside of his area.

The lead was doubled for Spennymoor in the 58th minute when Ben McKenna whipped in the most inviting cross a striker could ask for, with power, pace and it all required was a touch, and Glen Taylor obliged.

In the 76th minute trying to get back into the match, fans witnessed three big chances for Farsley, but Eve was up for the challenge making a brilliant double save to deny James Spencer then Jake Charles before Jordan Richards then smashed his shot over the bar.

Charles would not be denied six minutes later when he beat Eve to reduce the score to 2 – 1, but Eve and his teammates earned the three points.

JUSTIN DONAWA

Justin Donawa and his Darlington Town teammates went down 1 – 0 to AFC Fylde in their Vanarama National League North match.

Donawa started the match on the bench, but in the 14th minute Darlington was forced into an early change as Adam Campbell went down injured and Donawa made his way onto the pitch.

After a scoreless first half, the lone goal of this game came in the 78th minute, a free-kick evaded everyone, the ball was worked back to Nick Haughton who hit a left-footed shot past Johnny Saltmer and into the back of the net.

KNORY SCOTT

Knory Scott and his Hastings United teammates defeated Haywards Heath Town 5 – 1, in their Isthmian South East League match but it was not a good outing for Scott.

With his team up 4 – 1, Scott was brought on as a substitute, but he had to be replaced 6 minutes later as he was injured and could not continue.

Hastings got a hat-trick from Kenny Pogue, while Sam Adams added the other two, Nico Cotton scored the lone goal for Haywards Heath Town.

KEZIAH MARTIN

Keziah Martin was an unused substitute for Kidderminster as they went down 2 – 1 to Chester in their Vanarama National League North match.
