After a scoreless first half, Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar would jump out to a 3 – 0 lead by the 61st minute.
In the 49th minute, Björn Daníel Sverrisson gave the visitors the lead, Sverrisson would double the lead ten minutes later, and then two minutes later Ólafur Karl Finsen found the back of the net.
Fylkir would get themselves on the scoreboard in the 64th minute when Arnór Gauti Ragnarsson, but 4 minutes later an own goal restored the Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar three-goal lead.
