Nahki Wells has seven Championship goals for Queens Park Rangers but Premier League Burnley reportedly want a profit in January.
Queens Park Rangers are at risk of losing star striker Nahki Wells in the January transfer window with Birmingham City looking to snatch the Burnley loanee from under their nose, according to the Sun (3 November, page 61).
Despite a 2-0 defeat to Leeds United on Saturday, Mark Warburton’s side are still well set up to challenge for a place in the Championship top six, although everything could change in the winter.
Not only is star man Ebere Eze attracting plenty of interest from Premier League clubs, both of QPR’s strikers are only at Loftus Road on a temporary basis. And while Jordan Hugill is expected to stay in West London until the end of the season, doubts have been raised about Wells’ immediate future.
The Sun claims that Birmingham could take advantage by nabbing Wells in the New Year in a move that would be a major blow to QPR’s promotion hopes.
