NATHAN TROTT
Michael Folivi continued his pre-season hot streak with a first-half double to help Nathan Trott and his AFC Wimbledon teammates to victory at Met Police tonight.
Folivi's double made it four from him since his Dons return, as Wimbledon secured a 3-1 win at Imber Court against a side currently in the BetVictor Southern Premier Division.
REGGIE LAMBE
Reggie Lambe and his Cambridge United teammates put in an admirable performance against Leicester City, with the Premier League side’s quality telling in the end as they ran out 3 – 0 winners at the Abbey Stadium.
The U’s faced a challenging task with Brendan Rodgers selecting a virtually full strength Foxes’ side on a sweltering evening at the Abbey, but they held out for an hour before second half goals from Harry Maguire, Kelechi Iheanacho and Hamza Choudhury saw the Foxes claim the win.
OSAGI BASCOME - TEVAHN TYRELL – JUSTIN DONAWA
Darlington’s build up to the new season continued with a comfortable 4-0 away win at Northern League Northallerton.
All three started the match on the bench and came on.
After an even first twenty minutes, Darlington slowly gained control of the game with some very good football which allowed them to score four good goals.
Again, there were some very good individual performances, with right winger Justin Donawa doing his chances of a permanent contract a power of good with a goal and some good runs.
With Darlington ahead 1 – 0, Donawa, who came on as a half time sub, then dribbled in from the right and forced Steven Hubery into a good save, but the Bermudian broke through for the second goal almost on the hour.
Adam Campbell got away down the left, beat a defender, and rolled the ball back across the face of goal for Donawa to sidefoot past the keeper.
