NATHAN TROTT
Nathan Trott’s teammate Michael Folivi wasted no time in making an impression on Wimbledon supporters once again with a superb cameo performance against Bristol City tonight.
The 21-year-old, who was officially announced as a Wimbledon player earlier today after joining us on loan from Watford, scored from the penalty spot in the 3-2 defeat against Championship opposition. Folivi also came close to a wonderful goal just before striking from 12yards and it was a highly encouraging display back with The Dons.
Adam Roscrow also netted from the penalty spot as Wimbledon got the goals to match a good attacking performance that almost earned a draw after City had marched into a 3-0 lead.
With Wimbledon down 3 – 0, Trott replaced the starting goalkeeper Nik Tzanev and kept a clean sheet as his teammates looked to complete the comeback.
OSAGI BASCOME & TEVAHN TYRELL
Midfielder Osagi Bascome scored an excellent free kick in Darlington Football Club’s 2-2 draw at Darlington Town.
A mixture of Academy and first teamers came back from 2-0 down at one point to draw level in the second half (James Beauchamp scored both for Town) , the highlight being a 30 yard free kick by the Bermudian that flew over the outstretched hands of the Town keeper into the top left corner of the net.
Bascome showed plenty of good touches as he started his first game since returning from the Concacaf Gold Cup, and went close with free kicks at least twice in the game, also in the Darlington Football Club line-up was another Bermudian Tevahn Tyrell.
Darlington Football Club’s other goal came from teenager Brad Povey just after half time.
