IslandStats.com
Nathan Trott and his West Ham United Under 23 teammates were back in action taking on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Blackburn are currently bottom of Premier League 2 Division, with West Ham United two places above them. Trott and his teammates have lost four of the last five matches.

After only four minutes west ham United took the lead, aand it was Nathan Holland who found the back of the net. Moses Makasi stole the ball high up the pitch and calmly squared it to Holland who tapped it in.

The hosts are almost level straight away, they played in Lyons down the left who receives it on the corner of the box and rattles his effort against Trott's crossbar, the ball falls kindly for West Ham who clear.

In the 21st minute, West Ham had to deal with a few long balls, but most were comfortable for either Trott or his four-man defense in front.

In the 32nd minute, West Ham United doubled their lead, Xande Silva scored his sixth of the season on his return to the side, Josh Pask won the ball and bursts out of defense powerfully, feeding Holland who races away and lays it on a plate for Silva.

In the 49th minute it was 3 – 0 to West Ham United and it was Silva again, he was played in down the right by Moses Makasi before finishing beyond the keeper from an angle.

In the 68 minute, Blackburn's Joe Nuttall stepped up and just about squeezed the ball under Trott to pull them within two.

In the 71st minute, Blackburn was trying to put West Ham United under some more pressure after the goal, but a long range effort flies wide of Trott’s near post.

In the end it was a good night's work for Trott and his teammates who had the game rapped up at half-time after Holland's first goal this term and Xande Silva's sixth.

It's Chelsea next in 12 days' time for West Ham United.
