The Bermuda Football Association’s 2018/19 season got underway at the Bernard Park with the Charity Cup taking place between the defending Premier Division Champions PHC Zebras and Robin Hood.
PHC Zebras captain Cecoy Robinson scored the opening goal of the game in the 13th minute when he was able to latch onto a long ball and with Robin Hood goalkeeper Dale Eve off his line Robinson was able to lob the ball into an empty net.
The score was level at 1 – 1 in the 30th minute when Robin Hood’s Tomiko Goater found the back of the net in his first outing for his club, scoring from close range.
The teams went to the break still deadlocked at 1 – 1.
The second have saw the heat causing the game to slow down at times, and with the crowd anticipating maybe kicks from the penalty mark a cross from the right found Robinson unmarked and he directed a low header that beat Eve in the 85th minute for the winner.
