NAHKI WELLS
Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield Town teammates blew the Sky Bet Championship automatic promotion race wide open with a thrilling 3-2 win at Rotherham.
Huddersfield looked like they were going to be held to a disappointing draw by the rock-bottom Rotherham until they showcased their credentials with Tommy Smith's injury-time winner.
With Newcastle and Brighton both drawing, David Wagner's men cut the gap to four points and will fancy their chances of gatecrashing the top two after a ninth win in 11 games.
It was cruel on Rotherham as they twice took the lead but saw Semi Ajayi and Tom Adeyemi goals cancelled out by Joe Lolley and Elias Kachunga before Smith's late intervention.
RAI SIMONS
Tom Anderson rescued a dramatic point for Rai Simons and his relegation-threatened Chesterfield in a 1-1 draw at Gillingham.
It looked like Gillingham had won it through Max Ehmer's 67th-minute opener, but Anderson earned Chesterfield a vital point, just their sixth on the road all season, after firing home four minutes into stoppage time. Simons came off the bench in the 64th minute.
REGGIE LAMBE
Doncaster's 10-game unbeaten run came to an end as Reggie Lambe and his Carlisle United teammates ground out a 2-1 win at Brunton Park to get their own promotion hopes back on track.
Nicky Adams fired Carlisle into a first-half lead, Lambe almost doubled the advantage shortly afterwards but his close-range drive was well blocked by Doncaster goalkeeper Ian Lawlor and a niggly, tense affair was settled late on when defender Niall Mason just failed to clear a Jabo Ibehre effort on the line.
Tommy Rowe headed an injury-time consolation for Doncaster Rovers and Carlisle had some desperate defending to do before the final whistle.
