Bermuda was among 35 CONCACAF nations represented in Toluca, Mexico last week as the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) and CONCACAF presented a joint Coaching Education Excellence Program.
Maurice Lowe attended on behalf of the Bermuda Football Association. A series of lectures and practical sessions on organizational and Liga MX structure, technical and tactical curriculum, nutrition, youth national team systems, and physical preparation were presented.
“We got the opportunity to see and have open access to see how Mexico operate,” said Bermuda Football Association Technical Development Director Lowe. “It is important that our national coaching staff continue to develop their skills by learning from and employing the best practices of technical departments throughout CONCACAF and the world.”
In addition to technical sessions, technical staff attended a Mexican League Cup match, and toured Estadio Nemesio Diez ahead of its opening for the 2017 Club Toluca Liga MX season.
