Talks with the Jamaican team officials as well as the local organizers and the Bermuda Football Association could see the team playing three matches while on Island.

Founded in 1974 as a team of Rastafarians, the Humble Lions were promoted to the Jamaican National Premier League for the first time at the end of the 2008/2009 season, making their debut in Jamaica's major football league.

They finished both of their first two seasons in the top tier just above the relegation zone, but spent big in summer 2011 when looking for a promising start of the 2011/2012 season.

The Humble Lions have seen notable coaches such as Lenworth Hyde,Donovan Duckie and now Vassell Reynolds. Their president is Jamaican politician Mike Henry.

Recently Tastee Limited took another step towards uplifting the development of sports within Jamaica as pen was put to paper and a total of $350,000 was donated to the Humble Lion Football Club.

The presentation was made during half time at the National Premier League showdown between the hosts Humble Lion Football Club and Maverley-Hughenden FC.

The match was played at the Effortville Community Centre in May Pen, Clarendon.

The Red Stripe Premier League has served as a beacon of inspiration and development for over 40 years as Jamaica’s top tier professional football club competition.

Anthony Pringle, technical director of the Humble Lion Football Club, was elated as he expressed his gratitude for the sponsorship and noted that it would go a far way in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
