In the Dudley Eve 2016/17 Season Opener, the North Village Rams gave their new coach Devarr Boyles a winning start recording a 4 - 1 victory, the North Village Rams got two goals from Thomas Watson, to go along with single strikes from Nacori Smith and Demetre Daniels, while an own goal scored was the lone strike for the Devonshire Cougars.
PHC Zebras 3 Boulevard Blazers 1
The second match of the day saw the PHC Zebras come from behind to defeat the Boulevard Blazers 3 - 1.
Ian Coke had given the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 26th minute but that lead was erased six minutes later when Tristan Hall scored, the PHC Zebras would go in front in the 38th minute when Idrees Sharrieff found the back of the net as they took the 2 - 1lead into the break. Only one goal was scored in the second half and it came with four minutes remaining as Omar Tucker scoreed for the PHC Zebras.
