Bermuda to Learn Opponents During LIVE CFU Cup Draw

IslandStats.com
No fewer than 60 representatives from the Caribbean Football Union including Bermuda Football Association President Larry Mussenden and Bermuda Football Association General Secretary David Sabir are in St. John’s, Antigua for the draw for the 2016 Men’s Caribbean Cup.

Twenty-six countries will contest the 2016 edition, which is sponsored by Scotiabank. Bermuda are in Group 3 alongside Cuba and French Guiana.

The competition, which is scheduled to take place during officially sanctioned FIFA international match periods giving Member Associations the opportunity to select their best-possible teams, will kick off in March with all of the countries except Haiti, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago, which are participating in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Round two is scheduled for May; Round three in October; 5th Place playoff in November; and the finals in May 2017. The top four teams will qualify to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
