David Wagner’s work as the new Head Coach of Nahki Wells’ Huddersfield Town will get under way this week with a five day training camp in Spain. After holding his first training session on the grass at PPG Canalside on Monday afternoon, Wagner, his First Team technical staff, Senior Professional Development Coach Frankie Bunn and a 26 man squad departed for the Marbella Football Centre early on Tuesday morning. That squad includes Jonathan Hogg, Sean Scannell and Jamie Paterson, who are nearing recovery from their recent injuries, as well as several members of the Development Squad; Duane Holmes, Flo Bojaj, William Boyle, Fraser Horsfall, Jack Senior and Ronan Coughlan. Academy scholars Jacob Hanson, Regan Booty and Rekeil Pyke have also made the journey; all regulars for Bunn’s Under-21 side this term. Jason Davidson and Emyr Huws are on international duty with Australia and Wales respectively, whilst Joel Lynch, Ishmael Miller and Philip Billing have stayed at PPG Canalside as they continue their recoveries from injury. Whilst at the training camp, the squad will compete an evening training session on Tuesday ahead of morning and evening sessions from Wednesday until Friday inclusive, before traveling back to England on Saturday morning.
