The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) confirmed Islandstats.com’s story by announcing an upcoming friendly match between the Bermuda Men’s National Team and Mexico’s Under-23 National Team.
The match will take place in Mexico City, Friday, May 22nd, at 11:00am local time. It will be hosted at the National Team Training Complex, named Centro de Alto Rendimiento.
The Bermuda team will depart May 20th, returning to the island May 23rd.
The Mexican Under-23 team will provide a stern test for the Bermuda Men’s team, with BFA Vice President Mark Wade commenting, “We are grateful and excited that Mexico has extended this invitation to us. We expect a keen challenge from some of Mexico’s brightest upcoming professionals, which will serve us well for our next round of World Cup qualifying matches.”
The BFA would also like to announce a time change for the Bermuda versus Guatemala 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Second Leg Qualifier on Monday, June 15th. The match will now kick off at 7:30pm, at the National Sports Center.
