St. George’s Old Boy’s Retain the RO Smith Trophy on Kicks from the Penalty Mark

Somerset 1 (2) St. George’s 1 (4)

The St. George’s Old Boy’s brought the trophy from the East and it will return following their Penalty Shootout victory over the Somerset Old Boy’s.

Del Tyrell gave the East Enders the lead when a mistake by the Somerset Goalkeeper allowed him to score in an empty net, however Dwight Basden was able to equalize for the Somerset Old Boy’s minutes before the end.

The crowd was then treated to a nail-biting Penalty Shootout finish that the East Enders claimed.

Women’s Futsal

CP Chicas 5 Dandy Stars 2

An entertaining match saw the CP Chicas edge out a determined Dandy Stars team, Cheyra Bell was outstanding for Chicas scoring 3 goals, with Rayni Maybury and LeiLanni Nesbeth adding 1 goal each. The Dandy Stars were led by the impressive Zahra Gibbons who scored 1 goal with Jada Samuels scoring the other goal.

PHC Lady Zebras 7 Somerset Hurricanes 6

The 2015 Women's Futsal League ended with PHC winning their third consecutive Championship following this 6-5 win over the Somerset Hurricanes. Somerset Hurricanes coach Denvers Seymour, who is also Somerset Trojans Premier Division team coach gave a great half time talk to his team as they outscored PHC 5 - 3 goals to narrowly lose the game. PHC's league leading scorer Aaliyah Nolan led her team with 6 goals, Taznae Fubler scored the other goal for PHC. Tschana Wade was outstanding for the Somerset Hurricanes scoring 1 goal, with Deshae Darrell and Dazhya scoring 2 each and Jya Ratteray Smith the other goal.

Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 5 Hamilton Parish 4

Another exciting game saw the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds squeeze out a win against a determined Hamilton Parish side. Treshanna Scott-Carlington lead the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds with 3 goals and KyAnne Scott-Fishenden added the other 2 goals. Za'kmari Turner led Hamilton Parish with 3 goals and Asreal Basden added the other goal.

NAHKI WELLS

Sean Scannell's goal was enough to secure Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield Town teammates first win at Nottingham Forest since 2000 and ensure they are almost certain of Championship football again next season.

Scannell's neat finish just before half-time was enough to secure a 1-0 success and three points for Huddersfield, who had lost their five previous visits to the City Ground, and leaves them sitting comfortably on 51 points.

James Vaughan sent a header spinning narrowly over the bar after attacking the ball powerfully at the near post, while Jacob Butterfield twice drew awkward saves from Karl Darlow, with low, skimming shots from range. Oscar Gobern might have done better when Wells' driving run and cross picked him out by the penalty spot, but he sent his shot right at the keeper.

REGGIE LAMBE

John Sheridan's Plymouth got their League Two play-off bid back on track with a 2-1 home win over Reggie Lambe and his Mansfield teammates.

Anthony O'Connor opened the scoring in the second minute and fellow defender Carl McHugh made it two just after the hour mark.

Vadaine Oliver's acrobatic goal set up a tense finish, but Plymouth held on to move up to seventh.

Mansfield had the better of the first-half chances with Lambe firing just over as the interval approached and Oliver smashing a shot inches wide in stoppage time.
