Bermuda kicked the game off playing right to left, Bermuda is being skippered by Taurean Manders. Grenada took the lead in the 20th minute when Terry James finished off a well worked play, Grenada won possession on the left side three passes later James was found in full stride and he beat Detre Bell in goal for Bermuda. Bermuda hit back three minutes later when a long ball forward found Rai Simons and his blast from the edge of the box flew pass Jason Belfon in goal for Grenada. In the 45th minute Jahnai Raynor scored to give Bermuda the lead, Zeiko Lewis created space on the left side and his pace took him pass two defenders before he slipped the ball to Simons, Simons’ found Raynor who left footed shot beat a diving Belfon to his left.
In the 51st minute Bermuda’s Terrance Webb received his second yellow card of the even and was sent off, leaving Bermuda with ten men. As the game wore on Grenada grew in confidence up a man and twice had shot go inches wide. In the 77th minute the pressure paid off, as substitute Rickson Phillip scored from close range, Phillip had only been on the field of play for five minutes when he was found unmarked in the box and rifled home a right footed shot.
Bermuda almost came with the goods in stoppage time when first substitute Antwan Russell has his half volley saved by Belfon the rebound fell to the feet of Lewis who watched his point blank shot saved as well and cleared for a corner.
But the referee would soon after blow the final whistle as the two teams played to a 2 – 2 draw.
