The Bermuda Football Association held a special meeting at the Devonshire Recreation Club earlier last week, were once again a bid by Valencia to join the First Division was turned down by the Affiliates.
In a vote of 14 against 1 for and 2 abstaining the motion was denied, with the main concern being the Valencia Constitution.
This vote was the second time within a month that the motion was turned down, however what some may find confusing is that Valencia has several teams playing in Youth Divisions.
The argument for some clubs was that players would leave their clubs and join Valencia.
The Bermuda Football Association had an Adhoc Committee look at the Application make recommendations and put it before the Affiliates which was challenged from the outset and denied.
The recommendation has been made that Valencia come back in a year and make another bid to join the Association, which they are already a member of at the Youth Level.
