At the Wellington Oval the Young Men Social Club came from behind to defeat the defending champions Somerset Eagles 5 – 4.
Tristan Smith gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 3rd minute, but Nique Armstrong equalized for the Young Men Social Club two minutes later. Whakail Tucker would put the Somerset Eagles back in front with a goal in the 11th minute, but yet again the score would be level in the 28th minute when McLee Smith scored.
Kanhai Fray would once again restore the Somerset Eagles lead with a goal in the 40th minute and when Matteo Frazzoni scored in the 44th minute the Somerset Eagles would take a 4 – 2 lead into the half time break.
Zeiko Lewis pulled Young Men Social Club within one when he scored in the 66th minute and then two minutes later he equalized making the score, just when it seemed as if the match was heading for extra time Saki Tuzo found the back of the net as Young Men Social Club advanced to the Shield Final.
FRIENDSHIP Semi-Final
Somerset Trojans 0 Robin Hood 1 A lone first half strike from Tre Dill earned Robin Hood a 1 – 0 win in their Friendship Semi-Final match against the defending champions Somerset Trojans as they earned a berth into the Final for New Year’s Day.
The Somerset Trojans controlled most of the first half but it was Dill who scored the game decider in the 28th minute.
