At the BAA Field, the Flanagan’s Onions and Southampton Rangers began the final week of Premier Division play for the first half of the 2014/15 Season.
The match got underway with both teams playing at a fast pace, Southampton Rangers created the first chance of the evening with Willie Clemons sending Donte Brangman free down the right side, but his cross was missed in front of goal.
Peter Robey gave the Flanagan’s Onions the lead in the 5th minute with a low right footed shot the beat the Southampton Rangers goalkeeper Corey Richardson to his right.
Southampton Rangers went in search of the equalizer, with a cross turned shot coming back off the crossbar only minutes after going behind, the Southampton Rangers did get the equalizer in the 35th minute when Keedai Astwood scored.
Both teams created several chances but for the remainder of the game neither team would find the net as they played to a 1 – 1 draw.
