Norwich ran riot in the second half to put their poor home form firmly behind them with a 5-0 drubbing of Nahki Wells’ 10-man Huddersfield.
Huddersfield held out until half-time after seeing defender Murray Wallace dismissed on 17 minutes but conceded three times in the opening five minutes of the second period, with Bradley Johnson scoring twice and substitute Nathan Redmond also hitting the target.
It was just what Norwich needed after winning only one of their previous seven fixtures at Carrow Road - and Cameron Jerome and substitute Lewis Grabban later provided the icing on the cake with a further goals.
Huddersfield nearly took the lead against the run of play on 12 minutes when keeper John Ruddy needed to make a good block to foil Wells before the striker's follow-up effort came back off the crossbar.
With the sending off Wells was replaced at the half time interval with the score at 0 – 0, but Norwich would score five unanswered time.
REGGIE LAMBE
Cheltenham substitute Zack Kotwica denied new Reggie Lambe and his Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray victory in his first home game in full charge as his superb 88th minute strike rescued a 1-1 draw.
Until then it had seemed like Vadaine Oliver's spectacular 30-yard half-volley 10 minutes into the second half, would be enough to earn Stags all three points.
Although Mansfield dominated for long spells of a goalless first half it was Cheltenham who came closer to scoring.
Lambe was substituted in the 79th minute of the match before the equalizer was scored.
