At the Devonshire Rec. Wolves went in front after some 10 minutes when Kyle Brangman found the back of the net from just inside the box, both teams struggled in the final third during the remainder of the half as Wolves took the 1 – 0 lead over BAA into the break.

BAA went in search for the equalizer however time after time they failed to get a shot pass the Wolves goalkeeper, second half substitute Stephen Bremar ended the game as a contest when he slotted the ball pass an advancing BAA goalkeeper in the 88th minute as Wolves opened their season with a 2 – 0 victory.

This Premier Division match was a tale of two halves for the Devonshire Cougars. Inside the first five minute the referee pointed to the spot following a foul in the Flanagan’s Onion’s box, but Moses Steede watched his spot kick comeback of the upright denying the Devonshire Cougars the lead, minutes later Flanagan’s Onion’s player Nathan Peskett had a 40 yard free kick hit the upright, in the 25th minute Peskett did give the Flanagan’s Onion’s the lead, a free kick taken by Vincent Minors Jr. was headed home from some eight yards out by Peskett. The Devonshire Cougars created several chances, but they just could not find the final touch to get back level inside the first 45 minutes.

The Devonshire Cougars were level five minutes into the second half, when Zachary Morris scored from close range, some seven minutes later the Devonshire Cougars took a 2 – 1 lead, Derrick Brangman beat the Flanagan’s Onion’s goalkeeper. The Devonshire Cougars seemed to continue with the good turn of events when Machi Battersbee scored in the 71st minute to give them a two goal lead 3 – 1.
