Bermuda Go Down Again in CFU Championship

The Bermuda Women’s National team continued competing in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Women’s Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.

In their second match of the tournament Bermuda took on Jamaica at the Ato Boldon Stadium.

Bermuda Starting Line-up: Jaeda Smith, Akeyla Furbert, K'shaela Waldron, Dominique Richardson (Zahra Gibbons 81st), Shuntae Todd, Aaliyah Nolan, Cheyra Bell (Tschana Wade 39th), Marley Christian, Jenay Edness (Khyla Brangman 64th), Keunna Dill, Ebonie Burgess, Substitutes not used: Chelsea Harvey, Eva Frazzoni, Sideya Dill, Teara Thomas, Sarai Paul.

Jamaica’s Senior Women’s team won their second game of the CFU Women’s Caribbean Cup against Bermuda by a commanding 9-1 scoreline.

Shakira Duncan scored four times for Jamaica in the 32nd, 45th, 47th and 76th minutes, while Donna-Kay Henry scored twice in the fifth minute and the second minute of injury time, Captain Alicia Wilson scored in the 28th minute, substitute Venicia Reid scored in the 79th minute and an own goal from a Bermuda defender completed the scoring for Jamaica. Todd scored the consolation goal for Bermuda in the 70th minute.
