With the recent success of the Bermuda Women’s National Team we asked the President of the Bermuda Futsal Federation Peter Sousa his thoughts on the recent success.
Sousa said, “We believe that the Women's Futsal League that has taken place over the last 3 years has played its part in supporting the National programme and the development of the Women's National Team players. The recent success of the Women's National Team is to be congratulated and is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of the Coaches, Players and Officials.”
“The Bermuda Futsal Federation's partnership with the Bermuda Football Association is a great example of where external bodies can play a meaningful role in assisting the national governing body in achieving its overall aims and objectives,” continued Sousa.
Sousa went on to say, “While the indoor game provides a great foundation for player development, it must be accompanied by a competitive outdoor league. We recognize that there are a number of challenges to providing a consistent outdoor league structure and we hope that one can be established.”
Sousa concluded, “We are confident that those individuals with the best interests of football in the Country will come together to support this important issue.”
