Women’s Division

Dandy Stars 0 North Village Lady Rams 5

The 2012 Bermuda Football Association’s Women’s Division kicked off at the BFA Field, the North Village Lady Rams came away with a 5 – 0 win. Jennifer Toope opened the scoring when she got on the end of a cross to score from close range. Minutes later North Village Lady Rams player/coach Naquita Robinson doubled the lead, Robinson took a corner that the Dandy Stars goalkeeper punched back into her direction, Robinson was able to control and deliver the ball into the back of the net over the head of the stranded goalkeeper. Robinson then made it 3 - 0, before Jessica Furtado made it 4 – 0 to the North Village Lady Rams before Khyla Brangman closed out the scoring to make the final score 5 – 0.

Overseas Pros

Jonte Smith

Scott Neilson secured a second successive promotion for Smith’s Crawley and a place in npower League One with the only goal of a 1-0 win at Accrington.

Neilson picked up Warren Cummings' long ball on the edge of the Stanley area after 67 minutes and fired home the crucial strike to send 631 visiting fans mad.

Nahki Wells

Champions Swindon were forced to settle for a goalless draw against Wells and his Bradford teammates on the final day of the npower League Two campaign.

Bradford enjoyed the lion's share of the play and, with more decisive finishing, they would have ended their own disappointing season with a deserved win

Freddy Hall

Rotherham ended their four-year stay at the Don Valley Stadium with a 1-1 draw with Hall’s Northampton.

Rotherham, who move into their purpose-built New York Stadium in time for next season, had only one goal to show for a game they dominated and paid the price when Adebayo Akinfenwa headed home an injury-time equalizer.

Reggie Lambe

Second-period goals by Chris Pontius and Hamdi Salihi gave D.C. United a 2-0 victory that relegated Lambe and his Toronto FC teammates to the worst start in MLS history.

Lambe saved the home side in the 54th minute on a corner, clearing the ball off the goal-line for the second game in a row. Replays showed it went off his arm but Toronto went unpunished.
