The Hickory Crawdads began a home six games series hosting Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds teammates, however it was not the start Hickory was looking for, as Hall led the IronBirds to a 9 – 4 win.
Hickory took the lead in the bottom of the first with a single run, but Aberdeen would claim the lead with two runs in the top of the second, Hickory would then level the score at 2 – 2 with a single run in the bottom half of the inning.
Both teams scored a run in the third to make it 3 – 3, but then Aberdeen scored 2 runs in the 4th, two more in the 7th to take a 7 – 3 lead, Hickory scored a single run in the bottom of the 8th to make it 7 – 4, but Aberdeen scored two more in the top of the 9th to make it 9 – 4.
Hall went 3 for 5 from the plate with a Home Run, he also had 4 RBI’s and he scored a run himself. Hall’s Home Run came in the fourth inning and would be the winning run of the game as he brought home Maverick Handley, he would single in the 7th to plate Zach Watson and Trevor Kehe.
