Braxton Stowe and his Saint Louis Baseball teammates fell 12 - 11 in 11 innings to Creighton. The back and forth battle resulted in six lead changes throughout the game.
Creighton jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning, but Saint Louis stormed back scoring four in the second and three in the third to take a 7-4 lead. Creighton answered with four in the fourth. A few more runs were scattered in the later innings, and Saint Louis led 11-9 going into the ninth inning. Creighton tied the contest up, and then finished off the game in the eleventh.
Saint Louis had 12 hits on the afternoon, including three players that had two each.
Corrigan Bartlett went 2-4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks.
Jake Garella went 2-5 with one run scored and one walk.
Kevin Jordan finished the game 2-4, smacking two RBIs and scoring two runs.
Colin Townsend pitched 3.1 innings of relief, allowing just three hits, one unearned run and striking out three.
Ryan Lefner threw the final four innings for Saint Louis, allowing four hits, one earned run and striking out five.
