The Hattiesburg Tigers defeated host D'Iberville Warriors 11 - 9 in a non-league contest. Jamere Griffin, a former native of Bermuda, who has resided in Gulfport, Mississippi for the past seven years played for D’Iberville High School Varsity Baseball scoring one run.
D’Iberville took the lead at the bottom of the first, but Hattiesburg drew level scoring in the top half of the second. The home team regained the lead in the bottom half of the second before the visitors scored twice in the top of the third, the home team scored once in the bottom of the third and twice on the bottom of the fourth to take a 5 – 3 lead, however the visitors scored six runs in the top of the fifth to take a 9 – 5 lead and held on for the 11 – 9 win.
