Hall Shines In Another Aberdeen IronBirds Win

Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds teammates came to Vermont after sweeping Connecticut and found success through a balk, some errors and a couple of key hits. Vermont's mistakes piled up and Robert Neustrom homer was the difference in a 6-4 IronBird victory.

Hall had yet another strong day at the Plate. Hall had 3 At Bats, scoring 1 Run, with 1 Hit and 1 Double, Hall also had 2 RBIís and a Walk.

Hall reached with a walk in the third inning. He proceeded to steal second and third, and came home on a balk by Vermont's starter Jose Mora.

Lead change number two came in the bottom half, Marcos Brito led off with a single. Jonah Bride knocked an RBI double and Jeremy Eierman did the same for Vermont. It was 2-1 Lake Monsters through three.

In the fourth inning J.C. Escarra was hit by a pitch and Cody Roberts knocked a single. When Robert Neustrom reached on an error, Escarra came to the plate. Hall stepped up and hit a double with the bases loaded to score two runs. Aberdeen led 4-2.

A career high nine batters struck out to NYPL All-Star Matt Hammonds in his 5.2 IP. He left with the bases loaded in the 6th and ended up surrendering three runs in that inning. Vermont retook the lead 5-4.

Nick Horvath reached on an error in the sixth inning and came in to score after back to back wild pitches. That tied the game at five.

Robert Neustrom hammered a ball off of lefty Josh Reagan in the 7th inning. He sent it over the wall in right center with an exit velocity of 108.5 MPH to give the 'Birds a 6-5 lead.

J.J. Montgomery got his first save opportunity as a pro and cruised through it. He retired the side in order in the 9th to give the 'Birds a 6-5 win and make it six (officially) in a row.

Hall In Prospect Team of the Week

Hall was named the Short Stop of the Week as he represented the Aberdeen IronBirds.

Hall is an Baltimore Orioles' No. 27 prospect, he played in 4 Games, scoring 5 Runs, 1 Triple Base, 1 Home Run, with 6 RBIís, 3 Walks, 4 Strike Outs and 5 Stolen Bases.

After going 0-for-4 back on August 2nd, Hall has hit in every game since, giving him an active 10-game hitting streak. That includes three two-hit games this week on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and he hit his first home run of the year on Wednesday.

After starting the New York-Penn League season slowly, the Canadian product has hit .421/.488/.605 in August.

Hall & Aberdeen Ironbirds Defeat The Tigers

Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds teammates jumped on the Tigers early and often in this game scoring in 7 of the games 9 innings. The IronBirds smack Connecticut 12-2 at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut.

Hall had another good day at the plate, he had 3 At Bats, he had 2 Hits, 1 Double, he scored a Runs and had 1 RBI to go along with a Walk.

Aberdeen scored one run in each of the first 3 innings before exploding in the fourth. The IronBirds batted around to put up five runs. The first big hit came from Anthony Santander who hit a 2 run double to burst things open. At the end of the inning Aberdeen held a commanding 8-0 lead.

The IronBirds used 3 pitchers to allow just two runs throughout the game. Blaine Knight rebounded from a tough first appearance to toss two shoutout innings.

Hall & Aberdeen Ironbirds Defeat Lowell Spinners

Adam Hall and his Aberdeen Ironbirds teammates scored early and often en route to a 13-1 win over the Lowell Spinners at the Ripken Stadium to sweep the two-game series.

The Ironbirds jumped on Spinners starter Thad Ward for five runs in the bottom of the first inning. Willy Yahn opened the scoring with an RBI single, Hall added a two-RBI single and Nick Horvath capped off the inning with a two-RBI single, giving the IronBirds a 5-0 lead.

The Ironbirds pushed across another run in the second on Yahn's RBI double to make it a 6-0 game.

IronBirds starter Jimmy Murphy was locked in early and kept the Spinners in check. He allowed just one hit through the first three innings.

Murphy got more run support in the fourth when the 'Birds got three more runs off Spinners reliever Hunter Haworth. Robert Neustrom hit an RBI single and Hall laced a two-RBI triple to right center, extending the Birds' lead to 9-0.

The Spinners got their only run in the sixth inning on Lane Milligan's RBI single, making it 9-1.

The Ironbirds added four more runs for good measure in the seventh thanks to a Horvath two-RBI single down first base line and Anthony Santander's two-run homer to right, pushing their lead to 13-1.

Murphy (3-4) picked up his third win of the season, going seven strong innings and allowing just one run on seven hits. He struck out four batters and did not walk any. Ward (0-2) suffered the loss for Lowell.

Stowe Talks University Baseball & More

Braxton Stowe is looking to get back to his Saint Louis University Baseball teammates in a bid to win a starting position for the upcoming season.

On February 17th of this year Stowe grabbed his first base hit of his collegiate career after recovering from a knee replacement nearly two years ago. In a pinch-hit appearance in the ninth, Stowe hit a chopper to short that he legged-out at first. Though an error was credited, it was a part of a larger story for the junior from Bermuda.

Stowe would finish the season with a Batting Average of .235, he had 17 At Bats, with 2 Runs off 4 Hits, which included his first career home run on Saturday, April 28 in a 15-1 win over La Salle.

Stowe would also have 3RBIís, in the Field, Stowe had 18 Catches, 17 Put Outs and 1 Assist.
