Trey Mallory recently became Bermuda’s youngest Tennis player ever to acquire ITF Junior Circuit points.

Mallory is back in Bermuda competing in the BLTA Fall Championships and will soon return to training in Florida at L’Academie de Tennis.

Mallory’s first ITF Tournament performance was in Bermuda back in June during the in the Annual International Tennis Federation (ITF) & COTECC (Central American and Caribbean Tennis Confederation) Bermuda International Junior Tennis Tournament at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium.

Mallory recently played in the 2016 Curacao Open, where he defeated Curacao’s Xaveam M. van Wijk to earn his first ITF points on center court in front of van Wijk’s home crowd.

Mallory said, “It was a marathon match lasting over 2 hours and 40 minutes,” Mallory continued saying, “After I went down in the first set 6-3, i just told myself I had nothing to lose just relax and go for your strokes.”

Mallory emerged victorious winning the second set 7-6, and then he won the tie-breaker set 6-2.

The ITF Junior Circuit is the premier level for worldwide competition among Under 18 Junior Tennis Players. Mallory managed to win his first points at the age of 14.”
