A bumper crowd showed up for the match many have been waiting for which pitted Men’s Number One Tariq Simons against Daniel Phillips who is in the Rafa Nadal Academy.
The pair took to the court and battled in a match that went on for more than two and a half hours.
Simons won the first set 6-4, he would then win the second set 7-6 to win the match in straight sets.
Morgan Lightbourne would win her Ladies Singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 defeating Louisa Freisenbruch, while Malahku Selassie defeated Coyatito Smith 6-3.
Mike Toyer defeated Jon Brunson in straight sets 6-1, 6-2, while Quinton Burgess defeated Victoria Stephens 6-0, 6-0.
