The MTM Open Championships got underway at the Fairmont Southampton Tennis Courts with Women’s Division matches, Elite B Division and B Division matches taking to the court.
Two of the matches on the opening night needed a third set tie-breaker to determine a winner.
In an Elite B Division match, Jadon Spriggs defeated Ethan Anderson 1-6, 7-5, 10-5, while Raul Maldonaldo won his B Division match against Jonathon James 4-6, 7-6, 11-9.
