The Siena Women's Tennis program and head coach Jeff Osborn has announced a new addition to the Green and Gold's roster, as freshman Shelby Madeiros has been added to the Saints roster this season. Madeiros has begun classes at Siena and will compete for the Saints this season. "We continue to work hard and stay competitive on the women's team," said head coach Jeff Osborn. "Adding the freshman this year we should remain a threat in a very good MAAC tennis league and pursue a league title." A native of Paget, Bermuda, Madeiros is a former number one player for the U18 Bermuda National Team. She was the youngest member of Bermuda's Fed Cup team and was a Pomander Gate tournament runner-up in both 2018 and 2019. She tore up the circuit in 2020, winning the U-18s and women's division BLTA tournament, as well as the U-18's MTM Tournament in Bermuda. "I believe Shelby will be a great addition to the team and has the ability to grind out some long points," added Osborn. "She will probably compete for a starting spot in singles towards the 5 or 6 spots in our lineup from day one."
