The Adelphi University Men's Tennis team swept this week's Northeast-10 Conference weekly Men's Tennis Honors, with David Leader and Andrew Ray individually garnering Player and Rookie of the Week accolades. Leader and Ray paired up to capture the "B" Doubles Consolation title at the Hofstra University Fall Invitational. After winning their consolation opener by walkover, Leader and Ray bested doubles teams from Division I programs St. Francis College and Siena College in the Semi-Finals and Final, respectively. Leader and Ray earned a hard-fought 7-5 win over SFC's Grant Louis and Tomas Bernardes, before defeating Siena's Geovanny Mendoza and Marvin Oberli by a 6-3 scoreline in the consolation final. Leader also advanced to the Quarter-Finals of the "C" Singles draw, with an 8-5 victory against Dylan Loru of Division I St. John's University in the First Round. Leader, Ray and Adelphi University have concluded their fall season and will return in 2020, when they open their spring campaign at Concordia College on Saturday, February 22nd.
