The Bethany College Women's Tennis are celebrating and welcoming Jahzuena Bradshaw-Douglas to the team.
Bradshaw-Douglas comes to Bethany from The Berkeley Institute where she played Basketball in 2013-14 and along with Tennis. Bradshaw-Douglas also played for the local tennis club, Grotto Bay Tennis Club in 2015 where she represented the club in the Women's Winter League.
Bradshaw-Douglas won the Bermuda High School Championship Girls Tournament in 2016, along with a win in the Ladies B Deliotte Open Tournament at Pomander Gate Tennis Club, also in 2016.
In 2017, Bradshaw-Douglas won the Ladies A Deliotte Open Tournament at the Pomander Gate Tennis Club. Bradshaw-Douglas also competed in The Annual Federation Cup in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2018.
In addition to her work on the court as a player, Bradshaw Douglas also assisted with Coach Romar Douglas's Annual Tennis Tournaments for kids ages 5 - 13 by refereeing and helping with the facilities. She also assisted in coaching the youth under Coach Douglas.
"Bradshaw-Douglas is a highly talented player that has a lot of international experience that I feel will elevate the women's program," Swedes head coach, Larry Holmes said. "She talented, athletically gifted and has a competitive fire that is within her. I can't wait to see what she does here at Bethany."
