Intro to Coaching Course Announced
The Bermuda Football Coaches Association will offer another Intro to Coaching Course to enable club coaches who need to meet the licensing standards for the 2018-2019 season to become certified. This course follows on the success of the June 2018 course, where 35 candidates successfully completed the classroom and field sessions to complete the course curriculum hours. The Intro to Coaching is a new course offering for 2018, and was designed using the same UEFA Licensing standards as the C License course. It serves as the entry point for the BFCA’s coaching education pathway.

The course curriculum is developed by Jacques Crevoisier and is delivered over two weekends (candidates must attend both weekends), with instruction led by UEFA B qualified coach educators from the BFCA. It comprises classroom and on-field sessions, with individual assessments held at the end of the course.

The course is sanctioned by the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) and helps qualify the successful candidate to receive the BFA “D” license, required to coach at U7, U9, and U11 age level teams. Candidates will have to complete the First Aid and SCARS training modules independently, in addition to the BFCA Intro Course, to be eligible for the “D License” certification from the BFA.

This will be the last opportunity in 2018 for coaches who need to complete the course to meet the license standards for U7-U11 coaching qualification for the 2018-2019 youth football season. All clubs are advised to ensure that their coaches who require to meet BFA Coach License policy standards attend.

Registration is now open, and the registration forms can be returned via email to coacheducation@bfca.bm or submitted to the BFA office for collection by the BFCA. Payment details and course schedule information is included in the attached course information document.

For additional information or questions related to the course, please contact Richard Todd via email at coacheducation@bfca.bm or by phone at 337-1120.
