The 2017 ITF/Central American & Caribbean Tennis Confederation (COTECC) 12 & Under Team Championships continued in the Dominican Republic at their National Tennis Center.
The Bermuda team consist of Jae Gibbons, Airez Gilbert-Simons, Mackai Whitter, Antonio Warner, Matthew Way, Asia-Leigh Hollis and coach Steve Bean.
Bermuda have lost their second games in both the Boys and Girls Divisions.
The Bermuda Girls went down 3 – 0 to the Dominican Republic.
Gibbons went down in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 to Joelle Fiallo, while Hollis was defeated by Paula Lanius 6-3, 6-1. the Bermuda Doubles team of Hollis and Airez Gilbert-Simons lost to Lanius and Jarlyne Felix 6-3, 7-6.
Bermuda’s Boys fell by the same 3 – 0 score to the Dominican Republic.
Way lost to Daniel Baquero in straight sets 6-0, 6-0, while Whitter went down in straight sets 6-3, 6-0 to Emmanual Munoz .
Whitter and Antonio Warner teamed up for the Doubles and they went down 6-0, 6-1 to Baquero and Jossting Cruz.
