Bermuda’s Junior Davis Cup Team of Trey Mallory, Tariq Simons and Scott Redmond came within a game from defeating the Tournament's number three seeds Aruba in El Salvador.
Bermuda won Group E after defeating Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Following the Singles matches Bermuda was tied at 1 - 1 with just the Doubles to play, however they went down in a third set tiebreaker.
Bermuda was down 1 – 0 as Simons playing in the number two Singles spot went down in straight sets 7-5, 6-3, to Alexson Hessele.
Needing a win to send the match to a tie-breaker Mallory took to the court for the number one Singles spot where he faced off against Frederick Sydow, Mallory defeated his opponent in straight sets 6-1, 7-5 to earn Bermuda the win.
With the match all eve, Bermuda sent Redmond and Mallory to play the Doubles against Hessele and Sydow, Bermuda went down the first set 6-3, before winning the second set 6-4. Redmond and Mallory would fall 10-4 in the third set tiebreaker.
